Sometimes an idea lays dormant for years and then one day it quietly resurfaces and whispers “It’s my turn now.”!
Hot on the heels of Tessellation Nation I’m ready to announce my next blanket project:
Ogees
YAY!!!
An Ogee is a classical shape that has a long history dating back to Mesopotamian and Egyptian architecture, and it has featured in textiles since the 12th century.
I think Ogees are the most beautiful shapes. They’re elegant, perfectly balanced, and provide a framework to contain more detailed imagery. My latest project is an exploration of this design classic.
Just like Tessellation Nation, there won’t be a prescriptive crochet pattern for this blanket.
I’ll provide the concept, and full instructions for making a collection of crochet Ogee motifs which you can explore and interpret in many different ways. I’ll also guide you through the process of choosing colours, joining and finishing the blanket to ensure your work is both unique and breathtakingly beautiful.

Nearly 400 crochet pioneers took the plunge and joined me on the first Tessellation Nation course which I launched in January 2024.
It’s not easy being an early adopter but I’ve been genuinely blown away by the incredible work generated by our first course members and I’m excited to give you the opportunity to help shape the next chapter in our collective crochet story.
If you’ve worked with me before, this project will feel both familiar and challenging - and if you’re new to my crochet courses – well, prepare yourself for a crochet experience like no other!
I’m still in the early design stages of this project and I’m planning to launch in Spring 2026. If you’re prepared to take a leap of faith I’ll be opening bookings on Monday 22nd September with a special Pilot Course Price for a limited time only.
Are you feeling brave?

“Very enjoyable. Challenging, but the videos and pdfs are top notch and will help you through it. I would also add that it is highly addictive. All I wanted to do was keep crocheting.”

“I would definitely recommend this course to those who would like to learn more about colour coordination, colour schemes and colouring with crochet like you colour a piece of paper. This course is for good crocheters (and patient crocheters, I must add, as there are some challenging medallions, mandalas and intricate flower settings where maths gets involved!) The course inspires you, challenges you and opens your eyes to colours!”
